트위터 영미권 타임라인에서 <아바타>에 대한 재밌는 가설이 등장했습니다. 에이와는 판도라 행성을 잠식하고 있는 행성 규모의 곰팡이 기생충이라는 겁니다. 이러면 판도라의 생태계가 진화생물학적으로 납득이 가지 않는 신경삭을 통한 중추신경계 침입을 허용하는 개방형 종간 연결 시스템을 가지고 있는 게 설명이 됩니다. 물론 이게 공식 설정일 가능성은 전무하지만 SF 외계 생물학 / 코즈믹 호러 팬덤에서는 매우 흥미롭게 생각하며 이 가설을 적극적으로 환영하고 있다는 소식입니다. (저도 그렇고요.) x.com/topherstoll/...
