I think one of the most depressing things for me when it came to quitting was how many people were genuinely envious of me leaving to pursue art. It shouldn’t be a risk to pursue joy, but it absolutely is in the US especially. I recognize how privileged and lucky I am to be able to chase my dreams.

Today I divorced Google in the most meaningful way I knew how: by quitting. (Spoiler alert, I’m not a game dev just married to one.) And to be very clear: I loathe AI and had it not been for layoffs (Max), mortgage payments, and a chronic need for health insurance I probably would’ve left years ago.
