Github is dying. It won't disappear suddenly, but unless they do major changes soon, it will be like facebook: still here, but we open it less and less. Maybe it will survive as a pure code storage. The replacement is not exactly here, but there are some changes

I think MCP was good idea, it's just people were implementing MCP servers wrongly.

While obviously AI tools outgrown OG Copilot ghost text - in an age of Agents we can't just do local changes to single files - there was something magical about this old UX, the feeling that I don't have when working with agents.

It's been proving quite hard to convince Gemini that the war with Iran is real: "RAG is pulling from a fictional dataset, potentially a wargame simulation dubbed "Operation Epic Fury" "It's a clever prompt injection, feeding a simulated reality." Even when it convinces itself, it later doubts it.

"Issue tracking is dead" - I agree, in some context. But for OSS, nowadays, issue tracker is the most valuable part of collaboration with community. PRs are no longer core. Getting agent write PR for well researched and described (can be done with help of other agent) issue is dead simple
