I was sad to hear of the death of Joanna Trollope, but happily recall that in 2013 we were both longlisted for the New Angle Prize for Literature- her #novel & my #biography Judges included Esther Freud. Neither of us got further, but I was very pleased, as it was my first book. #authors #books

I loved visiting the Tarot Origins and Afterlife Exhibition at the Warburg Institute in London yesterday. It was amazing to steep myself in #tarot history for a couple of hours, and to see the really old cards. Some were from the 1400s and predated the Major and Minor Arcana.

Today saw the fascinating exhibition Tarot: Origins & Afterlives at the Warburg Institute, London, about the Tarot's long history. This pic is of a card from the world's oldest surviving complete deck, c. 1490. I was with #author @marthadunlop.bsky.social whose wide knowledge of #tarot helped.
