As a sober alcoholic, I always tend to roll my eyes a bit at “Dry January” resolutions or the (to me) flippant use of the word “sober”when speaking abt how difficult it is,so I appreciate how this thread reframes it & encourages a critical recalibration of the role of alcohol in one’s (social) life.
