I've always wondered how old cel-cartoons achieved that blur/distortion effect to convey a dream transition or an underwater scene. I guess they either smudged the camera lense, wobbled the cel, or put a clear container of water on top of it?

As someone who likes both the Lithtech engine and the film this is based on, I'm curious about this game. Sometimes these things can turn out to be hidden gems, like that Deep Space Nine Unreal engine game.

What do you get if you mix together far-future sci-fi, Alexander Dumas, European impressionism, *deep breath* fashion designs by Anna Sui, and Ukiyo-e art? You get Gonzo's 2004 series, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. Only by seeing this show in motion is true justice done to it.

One idea I have in my head is a game that's visuallly similar to the Dragonheart PS1 game. I think there's an uncanniness to it that would work quite well with the Lynchian vibe.
