Day 11 of #adventofcode showed me that dynamic programming is beautiful. I tried a lot of pruning and other complicated stuff before but turns out that 10 lines of dynamic programming solve part 1 and 2 in less than 0.0005 seconds. Now let's finish the last day.

Today was an #adventofcode day I couldn't solve on my own. I checked hints and saw something about Z3. I still couldn't solve it without a lot of hints but now I at least know about Z3 and what it does. I call this a win.

I really love sloppy solutions for #adventofcode but today is the first time I should be really ashamed of my solution. I've done the birb wyldest parsing in history of parsing. I have to shower now. lol

Why is there no Common Lisp game framework that can deploy to web? I want to take part in a Lisp game jam but also want to work with Common Lisp. And it's a PITA for others to test the game if it's not playable on itch.io directly. Especially in the lisp cosmos where build instructions are arcane.

Let's goooo. Arcaml, the r-cade like OCaml Game Engine now has keyboard input support and font rendering. Don't be fooled by the low frame rate. The more I implement the lower it probably gets lol. Because I don't know what I'm doing.

My problem is now that the best thing of Common Lisp, the image based REPL driven development is very hard to achieve because SDL (or, to be more precise OpenGL and Vulkan) really want to be rendered

Is there an easy way to send and recieve stuff via websockets in OCaml? It looks like you always need to import stuff like Lwt or Eio to do it and then it's not straight forward. I don't even want to send and revieve asynchronously. Just send stuff and receive stuff in the easiest way possible. :D

The AWS crash today showed me that a lot of stuff that should not be hosted on an incredible expensive hyperscale platform is indeed hosted on such a platform. You can rent a server that can host hundreds of toy projects for the price you pay on AWS for a single one.

I don't know much about Embark Studios but they click the little 'Easy Anti Cheat for Linux' checkbox everytime on their UE games which is nice. It's probably too hard for AAA Studios to click it. Would likely result in pipeline updates. And that's not possible in multiple 100 Million € releases.
