Hats off to Makita for making their drills repairable! After many a fall onto concrete slabs the switch shit the bed, but I was able to buy a new one and install it. The hardest part was running the tiny wires up to the light, which had to fit in a little channel #righttorepair

When I tried it out with the battery at first nothing happened except some smoke came out of the motor area. I think that the motor was a little out of whack and being pinched by the case, because when I ran it without the case it was fine, and now she’s all good. Whew.
