billboard sphere's clean eyeball trick. eye quads are flat when facing the camera, but as the billboarded object turns away from the camera the eyes offset their rotation so that the one closest to the camera stays visible even if the object is turned fully sideways

I started normal drawing stuff and then pixelizing it with a converter and then tweaking in aseprite and ive found it makes a portrait look more ps1 than if i was trying to sprite it from scratch. I have a feeling this is probably closer to what was up at the time anyways.
