Being in publishing has inured me to the rejection inherent in selling our house. But it has also trained me to keep checking the zillow entry to see how many people have saved the listing.

The AI dystopia won't be gun toting drones or algorithmically selected bombing runs. It'll be when the pyramid scheme of investment and funding that's propping up AI collapses, and the economy along with it.

Investors should hate this, because students cannot pay for a subscription and most parents won't buy one for them, which means they're using the free version of ChatGPT. That means....no profit from the core user base. Only expenses.
