Community health centers provide essential care to 31M+ people—including uninsured people, people with low incomes, and people who live in rural areas. They're already in a precarious financial position, and this abrupt funding freeze doesn't help.

Community Health Centers can't access the HHS Payment Management System today. Section 330 grant funding is a significant portion of how FQHC/ RHC keep their doors open I suspect (hope) that the freeze will be lifted soon for them, given their strong bipartisan support

I am having such a a strong visceral reaction to this article. Arguing that "magnificence" is more worthy than a focus on saving the most lives we can? Don't we have enough marble chiseled with donor names? What if Charity Shouldn’t Be Optimized?
