This is why clinical trials are important. Unfortunately tecovirimat did not improve resolution of clade IIb mpox compared to placebo. There are currently no effective antivirals for the treatment of mpox and this is an urgent need. Disappointing result but at least we know.

To reiterate - if we could find our new journal content on here - also BMJ, Lancet, NEJM, JAMA - it would be just perfect and all could deactivate accounts at the old place…which no longer seems somewhere for medicine and research
