Everything said and done - although eGFR diff may signal ominous outcomes - practically speaking following one eGFR over time and seeing the eGFR fall predicts outcomes better than anything else ! And that’s what would be feasible across economies !

From Rivka Galchen’s article in

I do the same with any agent. Treat for 2 years then try off. If relapse, then another 2 years.

I don’t think there’s great data. Just seems a good balance of risk.

DDAvP will increase VWF levels but in an uremic mileu does it really help towards platelets adhesion?

Would make sense to check VWF otherwise hard to prove anything unless they compare with their previous institutional cohort # NephJC

Love the science behind anti-nephrin Ab but 35% AA have one risk allele for APOL-1 & 14% have 2 risk alleles! Those r huge number of people predisposed to AMKD! IMO, it will be the winner , it has to🤣

The current study brings to light that aldosterone production, independent of renin and AG II, is a continuum with potentially many people below the threshold of the classic phenotypic findings seen in primary aldosteronism.
