For some reason my eye tracking always defaults to full "surprise" when I start up VRCFT. My head-canon for this is that I'm just shocked face tracking is working.

I had a couple people ask about new year's resolutions, and - "resolution" puns aside - I think I need to try something different to break out of the rut I've been in. Whether on the freelancing front, "day jobs" (with certifications, etc.), or personal stuff (meeting people, organization, etc.). 🤞

Off to an exciting start for 2026. Firefox crashed and I lost all the (many) tabs I had with various job hunting, gift ideas, how-to tutorials etc. :| Fortunately I did a full backup of the user directory a couple weeks ago so "should" be able to recover most of it - once I figure out how.

Am I normal? I feel weird knowing how to diagnose and replace multi-zone furnace parts, and even weirder that sometimes I'll backwards engineer the analog "circuitry" to make it more fault tolerant as a hobby. Maybe I'm overlooking a lucrative career given how much HVAC contractors get paid. ;-P
