Today marks around 2 years since the death of Quat Abilbek (shahit.biz/eng/1211/), a Kazakh imam who had studied at the Xinjiang Islamic Institute. He was detained in 2017-2018 and sentenced to 7 years, likely for his religious position. He was around 50 at the time of death.
