Apparently I do bird crafts now. Hopefully these preserve well, it’s my first time drying bird bits with salt and borax. (This is a dusky grouse hen, legal to harvest and own, be aware many other birds are protected under the MBTA and are illegal to possess) #nature #taxidermy

Maybe one day I can land on a painting process that's this efficient, but I'm certainly not there yet, haha

I’m enjoying the Sonic Crossworlds beta, in terms of racers I’ve only played a few, but enjoying the concise amount of customization the gadgets give you. Allows you to vary the gameplay just enough to play however you want, giving it a little more depth than Mario Kart. Pretty fun.

Little bat does a hop. Was doing sketch studies of how bat wings fold up and they ended up being enough for a gif cycle. Animation is hard. Might have been easier if I used proper animation software rather than PS. #art #bats #vampirebat

What are folks preferred sketchbooks to carry around these days? I tend to doodle in a lot of mixed media, so wondering if folks have a favorite that works well for both pencils and ink.

Finished all of Dragonball and am just starting the Frieza Saga of original DBZ. Vegeta is already my favorite character…. Invader Zim, Vegeta, Shadow… I think I have a thing for confident, angry little guys.

I don't know why but the combined skeletal-respiratory system of dinosaurs and pterosaurs is one of my favorite things about those clades.

"Oh, my God" "What is it?" "It's a birdcage" "For what?" My 3D anatomical study of a large male Pteranodon longiceps. The skeleton is a generalised composite as per usual with my models, but is scaled to UNSM 50130 (a very large and almost complete wing)

Those arms are just barely on there. Really interesting how well defined those scapula are.

A little good news today.

Ooh man. Nostalgia wave from this lovely dragon showcase at the bookstore. The naturalist style of writing and stylized illustrations in Dragonology had such a huge influence on my personal tastes as a kid. I owe a lot to this book.
