Ahhhhhhhhhh! @snares.bsky.social is a brilliant and lucky cat! We finally spotted the Bu2ma (不二马) figurines in blind boxes at a shop and we took a calculated gamble. With the expert lion paws, we managed to get this awesome figurine on the first try! Just love the expression and the cuteness!

I really want some peace from the thoughts that are constantly in my head. All these problems with no easy solutions. Sometimes I wish I never made that furry LiveJournal account that bifurcated my life into two. Feeling helpless in one life is bad enough; feeling that way in two lives is too much.

Daily sketch practices: 15-18/1 I realise the purpose of these is not really to get better technically, but to get used to drawing for the sake of drawing.

I'm scared by upcoming transitions in my life. I want to pretend everything's normal, that I can keep doing the things I enjoy, but it's almost certain that part of me is going away. I don't want to say anything, but letting it die silently feels sad too, so here's a note for me to stop pretending.

Started a new painting!

2025 art recap. A year of experimenting and learning. Still figuring things out, but I'm glad I showed up.

Painting.

Wrote a more detailed Furum thank you note on Facebook, but overall it was a great time meeting up with familiar faces old and new. Also helped that I didn't put too much pressure on myself to dress up and be noticed; no expectations means no stress!

A messy first attempt!

Started learning watercolours and it's definitely a lot harder to control than acrylic.

Experimental. Tried to follow the method I use for physical paintings by restricting myself to Procreate’s new default oil brush and painting on a single layer. Messy af but I think hot sauce ratboy turned out okay.

I've spent waaay too much time working on this redesign of my character instead of figuring out what to do for Furum…

Figure drawing classes are over! Was pretty fun and thanks to Voce for suggesting I give it a try!
