I hit issue #50 in Bendis/Maleev Daredevil & I gotta say I’m still underwhelmed on this re read. It was like a nice pressure release of the story up to this point, but I feel there’s no clear thesis and the only thing going on is “make Matt uncomfy”

I have a rough pitch for The Hunt for Ben Solo that I think could blend well the Legends Legacy era with current canon by way of The World Between Worlds, and the Netherworld of the Force we see in Legacy of Vader, and end up setting the stage for the future of Star Wars stories

I think Pornsak’s entire body of comic work speaks louder than anything he might’ve had to do with the Arrow tv show when it comes to the potential of the Absolute GA series. Praising Condon’s run (a very good book) & Arcadia as these superior versions before Absolute even comes out

Newest additions to the Disney comics collection: the Timeless Tales hardcovers IDW did back when they had the license. Consists of translated older stories for the first time from Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, Walt Disney Comics and Stories

Was going to read after work before going to the gym, but instead had an hour long call with @foreverykindofgeek.bsky.social about Uncle $crooge, which, is arguably better in all ways

@giannilmao.bsky.social is the best. He picked up this new Parker comic over in France for me while on his trip. Will it be hard to read? Yes. Do I care? No. I can’t wait

Can’t believe Legacy of Vader ends this week. What a book too. Hopefully there’s more to come in some way. Star Wars comics feel like they’re in a very strange place right now, and it’s not the best after almost 11 years straight of stellar publishing

What’s the best film adaptation of a PARKER story that isn’t one of the films already made, because none are very good? My go to is always Michael Mann’s THIEF. I saw it as a Parker at the end of his peak period & trying to survive in a world that’s getting more complex

well, this continues to be an interesting presence … a sexy noir set around the Zoot Suit Riots, wartime LA racial tension make a great backdrop for some striking work. visually rich. Rachel Merrill moonlights from Gil Thorp with a strong, funky style. she’s why I picked it up, does not disappoint.

Reading this run and all I can think on this panel is that Ollie would make a great Manhunter for a spell. Then, you have Connor become GA and they’re both trying to take down a new Vigilante/gang running amuck in Star City

Insane to me to read this week’s Legacy of Vader, see the portrayal of certain force aspects, explore Kylo Ren’s psyche in this way, and just not have a future story on the way for the big screen to explore his redemption at the end of RoS. What a book
