Other reasons my emotions are all over the place right now…

Family/Staff service awards were this afternoon at school. We recognize people when they reach 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, etc. years. This year was my 10th. At 10 years, you get some cash, a glass pointy thing (official name), and a booklet of quotes about you from your peers. ALL the emotions.

It’s the seniors’ last day on campus before their trip and they’re all in their college shirts and decorated skirts. This class was a tough one for me, but I’m still having all the feels watching them take all the photos and chatter excitedly.

It’s a rule: you see it, you post it.

I work with the best, most caring, humans.

Current aesthetic: sneakers, jeans, school logo polo, a small fortune of gorgeous rings. (Most days, sub black tee for polo, add magnificent necklaces/earrings…basically, low-key clothes, high-key jewelry)

I am fairly certain that organizing and buying organizing supplies for your hobbies is its own, separate hobby. Used a gift card from a student to buy myself a yarn winder and spinny-yarn-holder-thingie (technical name). So. Very. Satisfying.

M and I didn’t do the whole traditional “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, etc” vows, but damned if we aren’t going to double down hard on the sickness part. He’s mine, and I’m his. No matter what we have to face, we face it together.

I would help people figure out what to buy as gifts for the people they love. They’d tell me what the person likes and what they like about the person, and I would curate gift ideas or gift baskets. I love, LOVE figuring out the perfect, unique gift for someone. I thrive at Secret Santa.

I finished crocheting a scarf. Because, seriously, must always be doing something with my nervous hands. I think I like this weave pattern.

So, I saw a Chainmaille dreamcatcher and thought the weave was really cool (4in1, but circular). Of course, a white chick making dream catchers feels culturally icky, so I thought I could play with the weave but make a bunch of different sizes and attach them for a hanging art piece. Love the weave!

I very much appreciated that, when the offending flag went up, the rest of the neighborhood went “NOPE”.
