Finally completed @bulkamancer.bsky.social 's Pragmata model scaled up to 1/6, 40cm tall. Best model I ever saw and... it broke me. 60 parts, 19 print runs, paint scheme that seemed to get more complex the more I squinted on the ref images... I went all out and I hope it shows.

When I started painting this year, I didn't want to invest too heavily in a hobby I may not stick with. Thus, I made an effort to achieve the minimum viable paint palette for my needs. Black, white, ROYGBP + some specials: brown, elf skin, deck tan, silver, varnish, nuln oil. That's all I use!

Started trying Deezer > Spotify Deezer built an AI detection tool that auto-labels >99% of slop. ~44% of ALL songs hitting streaming atm are AI (dilutes royalty pool, literally stealing $ from artists). Spotify also have a gross 'AI remix' tool in beta; miss me with that shit. So far, so good!

Question for mini painters: I've seen a style which really emphasises a "high art" textured, look with high fidelity, visible brush strokes. It looks very 2D hand-painted, but more 'art gallery' and not 'cartoon'. Any clues what this style is called? I haven't got examples on hand.

#wip Day 59: 2B by ESM Painted detail on debris, including rust of purple/brown/orange. Then washed in shade nuln oil, and dry brushed some silver back on. Also brushed perimeter of base in black, as PVA damaged previous paint coat in places. Varnish next then base done #hobbystreak #garagekit
