the results of today’s work

printing a lil thingy from the movie project hail mary

coming along nicely but far from finished

oooow i seriously hate making led circuits but at least i can use a two AAA pack to power it but that also means i gotta hog out a bunch of material on the bace and i don’t know if i got space

progress is being made lol

its just a test piece, o feel it’s lacking something but not sure what

bugger, part of the raft peeled off so fingers crossed the part prints properly

next hollow parts are printing and by the sound of the first few layers i doubt they will print properly but i could be wrong lol so hopefully the head legs and the right arm will be done in about 12 hours (probably lol).

happy days the hollow torse printed without issue and was 98% perfect lol there’s still a couple of tiny layer line shifts but i can live with them

the torse seems to be printing properly but there’s a large internal overhang so fingers crossed my printer will do what i want it to do

the zeratul torso is printing snd thb its the part im most concerned about as i have no idea if it will print

unfortunately this was a bust as the ink reduced the lead light so im gonna go with the original clear

the inks definitely did something lol

first print failed in a few places so i stopped the print mostly due to the raft coming away from the build plate so i’ve changed a couple of settings so fingers crossed the next one works

well it looks like i didn’t add enough ink as the print isn’t as green as the pic but thats probably my fault for not watching a tutorial lol

first time using alcohol inks in a resin print so fingers crossed it’ll works

did some tests with zeratuls plasma blade and im unsure of the outcome as the first is just plain resin with no color or there’s the second with a green ink applied and i must admit the original is brighter but i might try using some ink in the actual resin

ooooow getting excited lol

The Zeratul build begins, im starting with the clear plasma blade as the whole point of me hollowing the model was to accommodate wires so fingers crossed that what i envision will look good as i will be using techniques that i haven’t used on such a large model

i’ve started setting up the Zeratul model for printing and tbh i have absolutely no idea if it will print as the legs,torso, head and right arm will be completely hollow so i have no idea if it will work but this chap will be approximately 10-11 inches in height

she’s looking better but i need to do a bit more work

not quite finished and unfortunately the mat varnish i used gave her a dusty appearance

my next print will be a replacement for the Zeratul model i did a few years back but this one i will be adding leds to the blade and the eyes

lolol unfortunately i dropped her hair and can’t find it so im gonna have to reprint it so lady deadpool will be slightly delayed

happy days finally my first near perfect print, the only thing that went slightly wrong was the raft was a big thick in places but i suspect that’s due to levelling

future project if i can find the space in my room

the Corrupted Nun is finished

she is finished but i wait for the base to finish then i will show the whole model

very close to finishing the corrupted nun, just got to print the base and do a bit more drybrushing and finish the wings and halo and i might add a bit more eyeshadow

that’s it for today as my back is killing me and i need sleep

her face is coming along nicely

just gotta add a very light skin tone and the skin will be finished

the thermoplastic kinda worked as a mold but because the uv resin i used heated up when curing so some of that thermoplastic got attached to the claw but thankfully i managed to clean it off (before/after pinky finger claw).

well it looks like this will finish early lol so much for the timer

happy days i got some thermoplastic coming tomorrow so i can create a mold of the claw and fingers crossed it will work

just started my longest print to date with a completion time of 13 and a bit hours lol so this won’t be done until 3am lol

the most annoying thing to happen when preping a resin model is when i part snaps and gets lost and unfortunately that happened to one of the claws but hopefully i will be able to create a mold of one of the others and create a replacement

happy days i managed to fix my beloved headphones with a bit of wire lol unfortunately my new logitech pro x headset was good for music but garbage for listening to someone speak as it was muddy as heck but still a decent backup if i need it

decided to do a few relaxed prints of random stuff from my archive and random free stuff from the internet so my next print will be Julius Insidious, the Old hunter with doggo
