5 hours and godzilla will be done printing, i still have the base but i want to make a city diorama out of it so that will be done at a later date as i need to mod it

currently setting up the godzilla parts for printing and i’ve had to reduce the size to 60% as it a huge model

looking back at my old work and i still think this is my best painted miniature that ive done lol everything i did just went perfectly from start to finish ahhh just wish every model i do was like that one lol

unfortunately i won’t be able too complete this for a couple of days as i got to rest my back

still got a bit of work to do, unfortunately my back is giving out so i gotta finish this tomorrow

from what i can tell a better chrome is probably gonna cost me nearly £30 which isn’t the the worst but still a lot of money for a small bottle of paint but at least i can put this on without a primer

blade’s are messed up but im calling it finished for the time being as i will go mad trying to fix things lol

unfortunately the chrome on the blades are getting scratched even with the clear coating so i will probably have to just paint them a flat silver but thankfully if i find a better chrome paint in future i can reprint them

unfortunately ive hit a problem as one of the blades keeps snagging i think i have fixed it but i rubbed off the chrome so i may have to put a clear coat over the which will probably dull the shine a bit but at this point im not too worried

all gems are on and clear coat is drying so all thats left is in about 3-4 hours i will put in the shiny blades and this project is done, one last thing i got to do is make a stand for it which i might 3d print if i have enough resin

it’s taken 17 hours of troubleshooting and tapping holes for screws but i’ve finally got the blades working, had to use my test blades as i need make something ro help me push the blades back in also i need to repair some paintwork, glue on one final gem rhen lastly a clear coat to protect it all

she came out nearly perfect but i think i still need to tighten my printer bolts as i think the layer shifts ive been getting is to do with that, i may possibly paint her live on twitch on saturday depending if i can be bothered but if i dont i’ll paint her on discord

i don’t want to jinx it but putting those ramps on the arms seems to have worked but i still need to do some troubleshooting to the blades as the seem to scrape and bind along the channel they sit in

she’s done printing but im kinda scared to see how she came out as ive had nothing but problems with this printer and this is the first detailed model ive printed on my m7

new print incoming, for a change i felt like doing some normal painting so im painting a bust

might have found part of the problem with the blade mechanism as the original designer didn’t add a smooth ramp for each arm so the blade hook would hit a wall so i added a ramp and hopefully that will help

one side very nearly completed as i need to apply a clear coat, unfortunately the gems aren’t as vibrant as i wanted but thems the breaks

not sure what my next project will be, i’ve got two to choose from 1- the bladerunner gun 2- vash the stampedes AGL Arms .45 Long Colt from trigun

trump’s golf course in turnberry scotland got graffitied and someone did this and it gave me the chuckles

unfortunately my first test was particularly successful mostly i think because the spring maybe too long as wel as a guide dent that the spring goes into is of center but i will fill it as i don’t think it’s completely needed but still sll promising

one side is finished and the internal rails have been sanded so blades move freely, i can do a test but im hoping i dont damage the blades, i will post a video once i finish the other side

the blades aren’t as shiny as i wanted and they’d a bit lumpy in places but they will do until i can make better ones in the future but for now i gotta knock back the bronze color with a lighter gold then i got to do some lighter gold on the rim of the gem and down the arms

well it seems the clear coat worked but i need to let it dry before i apply the chrome, unfortunately as i used black it means the blades will be darker than i wanted but at this point i just want this build finish

hopefully in the next week i should receive the headless grub screws i need to finish the glaive but i still got a long way to go, unfortunately the gloss for the blades didn’t work properly but i might be able to save them with a gloss clear coat

i’ve come to a point where i might say sod it and paint the blades flat silver as my efforts to chrome these blades has ben less than successful

i tried to do a test for the chrome but the plastic spoons im using to test screws up the finish of any spray i use on it but still i can see that it will work on a smoother surface but i think black is too dark for what i’m looking for

my first attempt to gloss black the blades was a bust so now i gotta strip it back do more filling and sanding then hit it with a different primer coat before i gloss them

the gems may need a better clear coat lol i would luke to see any palm reader to figure out that mess lololol

i managed to get one blade working, unfortunately this project will be delayed as i got to wait for some M2x15mm grub screws to arrive as well as a screwdriver that fits that hex screw

i’ve decided that the blades need to be reprinted ans the originals had too many surface errors so hopefully the new ones will be finished do i can get this project finished

all parts are now finished and all i got to do it a bunch of filling and sanding to make these parts fit flush, the large center gems have been smoothed and are waiting for a chrome finish to the bottoms of them then onto a clear coat and the smaller ones need color and a clear coat

im at the point where the last print stopped due to a power cut so fingers crossed

unfortunately my idea to use thin elasticated cord was a bust as its just not quite as stretchy as i need so i will probably have to resort to rubber bands

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 there was a power cut and while i was sleeping and when i went to check on the print it wouldn’t restart so its only like 70 percentage down uuurrgghh thankfully i had extra resin

8 hours and all the printing will be done

i may reprint these as there’s just too many errors and i think i can do better but i will try and salvage these ones first

just finished preping the last parts of the glaive and i pray to bacon that i have enough resin

unfortunately my idea of using a spring to activate the blades is a no go as the only springs i have that won’t deform under load are too big so i will have to go with elastic threads
