Day 52 of #findingthegood I made 40 egg rolls. Now there are less than 20 left. I am responsible for most of that. (Three others in our house are them too) I am a happy man.

Day 51 of #findingthegood I'm working on a shadow box for my little brother and I've been racking my head trying to figure out how to make a really cool effect happen. It took some sacrifice (literally taking apart some of the project), but now I have a clear path ahead of me. Also got a haircut

Day 50(!) of #findingthegood I took the day off of work today, helped clean the crap out of our apartment, and spent a majority of the rest of the day with my wife. A+, would skip work again to be with my wife again

Day 49 of #findingthegood I've been feeling the burnout really hard these last few weeks, so to have my wife take extra special care of me at work was excellent. Also, I'm working on being responsible at work, sonI did a lot of following up and reporting to make sure that I'm on top of it all

Day 48 of finding the good I finally had the push I needed to play Minishoot Adventures from SoulGame Studio. It's a Zelda shoot em up. I love it! I also got to play around with the Super Mario Galaxy generator. I had too much power.

That one tune in Castlevania III... does it sound like a squeaky hinge, or maybe a plastic straw in a disposable cup?

Day 47 of looking for the good While the end of the day was rough, I got to spend a nice soft morning with my wife. We took a walk, got groceries and breakfast, I got to take a shower, and we took a nice nap. A+. Would start a day like that again.

Day 46 of looking for the good I played in a 4-person Yahtzee Randomizer with @sorme.bsky.social, and my other two siblings. It was delightful in the silliest of ways. Also, I got to have a really solid heart-to-heart with my oldest daughter. A relatively solid day.

Day 45 of looking for good I had a friend ask me how #JusticeFighters was coming along and that he's hyped as heck to start playing it when I get it out in the open. Also, my brother reached out to me to see if my wife could find a time to forge a knife with him. My brother is rad and I love him.

Day 44 of finding the good out there Calling it early today. I paid off my car. I am free.

Day 40(!) of positives I got to be in an Archipelago multi-world randomizer with my friends ( @gateway2drillbit.bsky.social @brispit.bsky.social and others)! I came into it thinking Yahtzee would be a breeze. I WAS THUSLY HUMBLED. It was an excellent time and I look forward to the next one!

Day 39 of positives I got to add myself into an #archipelago multi-world randomizer with some great friends. I'm playing Yahtzee, which is such an absolutely insane thing to say. It's gonna be great. I look forward to the insanity!

One of the best things about getting #JusticeFighters ready for presentation at #GenCon is that I get to remember that I drew some fabulously ridiculous drawings when I made this game.

Day 38 of looking for positives I spent a majority of yesterday lounging around the house with my kids. That's it. Sometimes, you gotta keep it simple.

Day 37 of looking for positives My wife and I got to go on a date yesterday morning. It wasn't much (breakfast and thrifting) but it was nice. We both needed a break from everything and it was just what we needed.

Day 36(.5) of looking for the positive I got to watch my pal @gateway2drillbit.bsky.social play the demo for Parasite Mutant and Super Alloy Crush last night for the Steam Demo event. Those are two high quality games you should check out.

This definitely reads as "Buy my poison before your friends all buy my poison before you"

Day 35 of seeing the gold in the grey Three excellent things happened today: I got a raise My boss got the presentation for my art program to her boss (only one more layer to go) One of my trainees was so moved by my support that she said I deserved twice what they're paying me (I agree)

Day 34 of hunting for positives One of our trainees had a REALLY bad time with her home life - enough to get her pretty rattled. We kept her off the phones and helped her have the time she needed to recover while still helping the rest of the team. It's real nice when work understands, yeah?

Day 33 of the thing and the thing For every kid's birthday I do a little "Daddy/daughter date" with them. Today was the one for my now 10 year old, Kimber. It wasn't everything we'd hoped (the arcade is closed on Mondays) but Red Robin was well worth the trip.

Day 32 of hunting for positivity I spent about 2 hours shopping online and having excellent conversations with my wife. It was nice to just hang out and not be distracted by everything else out there. It was excellent, friends. Big recommend.

Day 31 of finding the good in the suck My wife takes Valentine's Day very seriously in the food department. We got pancakes with writing in them, Chicken Pot Pie with a flaky heart shaped crust, and chocolate heart cakes. 15/10 would happily marry her again (I did dishes, like a good husband)

Every so often, you just end up drawing the perfect thing. Today is that day.

Day 30 of seeing the good in the ugly I finished my presentation to get ClipStudio and my drawing tablet for my work computer. Now I just need to get it double checked by a coworker and sent to my boss! Aaaaa! This is the first I've ever been!

Day 29 of looking for the silver lining. I got a message from my boss's boss that I can give a pitch to the higher ups to get my art tablet and Clip Studio Paint to help make infographics and charts for training purposes at work (I'm currently using paint)! This is huge!

Day 28 or finding the positive I offered the final test to my training class fully expecting a majority of the agents to wait until tomorrow to take it. Instead, 12 of the 14 agents took it and passed like it was nothing. It felt amazing, friends.

Day 27 of finding a positive in the negativity I had a meeting at work to organize and update the training materials that has long been overdue. I might even get permission to get Clip Studio (to make my infographics) AND to download the drivers I need for my art tablet. That would be stupendous..

Day 24 of finding the good in the ugly Today I played (and beat) Super Bomberman 3 and 4 as well as Bomberman 2 for the NES. I love that those Japan only games have been localized in this collection. Sure, they're repetitive, but tomorrow my kids are gonna play multiplayer with me. Hooray!

Day 23 of the positive in the crappy My trainees found answers to questions I couldn't solve before. I've got a group of smart friends who can help me not only solve current problems, but also who strive to make education better for those who come after. This class rules.
