As part of Aged UK’s national Silver Sunday, @missespp.bsky.social and I attended an excellent talk by Frances Wilson on Memoir Writing at the British Library. Something we are both in the thick of and we both found the session enlightening.

So profound and deeply moving. I wish all humans can be like this.

Labour have become a lost party but so has British politics become a loss cause. This country needs serious change before it goes deeper in the rabbit hole.

What 4 Labour policies have disappointed Liverpool the most? Did I guess right?

As if war crimes weren’t enough. This abhorrent state need to be stopped and sadly protest doesn’t cut it.

This party is not only about social issues, it has the climate and environment within its DNA.

I left in 1996 disillusioned with the UK, & wanting to seek opportunity elsewhere. After 21 years in Singapore, I returned in 2018 & this is the first time in 7 years of being back, that a 3 minutes speech from @zackpolanski.bsky.social has moved me to a point of real hope for the UK & the world.

He's just head and shoulders above every other politician we have at the moment.

The country needs a balance and it’ll only happen if we have the @greenparty.org.uk under @zackpolanski.bsky.social in the driving seat of Britain. A balance that shifts the mindset considerably towards a need for fairness in our system, a climate culture and a human decency towards others.

Tony Blair’s catastrophic decision to invade Iraq cost thousands upon thousands of lives. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the Middle East, let alone Gaza. It is not up to Blair, Trump or Netanyahu to decide the future of Gaza. That is up to the people of Palestine.

A 19 year old self. Musician, songwriter and on the cusp of becoming a man feeling the youthful exuberance of the 70s as it came to an end. No concept of time, no worries of the future, just simply being. I was going to conquer the world but had no idea how. Magical.
