What we are witnessing is an outright abuse of power. This administration is attacking critics and using fear as a weapon to silence anyone who would speak out. Media corporations — from television networks to newspapers — are capitulating to these threats.

I believe that political violence has no place in civilized discourse. I do not mourn the murdered man this time, but I condemn the violence. I also believe the civilized discourse is dead & only one side is remaining civil. The times are changing, so too must the resistance.

This is the playbook, folks. If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away. Do not be quiet in this moment.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.

Today's just coming up roses. My payroll provider glitched & reversed the deposit, putting me deep in the negative balance. A request for rental assistance I had been approved for was closed because my landlady didn't respond with the documents they needed. What else, I wonder?
