Bluesky's power users are in favor of violent threats, as long as the people receiving them "deserve" them. This is a much more complex and subjectivity-laden stance to take than the mods' stance, which is violent threats are always bad. The power users hate the mods for this.

I know a subset of individuals have genuine difficulty distinguishing reality from whatever they see on here, but the idea that I would 'out' anyone is idiotic and insulting. The teenager in question signed a release form agreeing to have their image used in a story involving youth gender identity.

I genuinely don't think I've ever done a post on here that a reasonable person would consider to be 'bigotry.' Literally not one. If someone points one out to me I'm happy to consider apologizing and taking it down but I'd be surprised!

there aren't any rules. someone can come forward talking about their own child in a manner designed to influence public opinion, but then if anyone *responds* publicly, they're committing some sort of gross violation. the point all along has been to suppress disagreement on this subject.

Confusion here stems from the fact that Taylor had, in her bio, a link that redirects to this: www.bark.us/learn/aff-ba... That is an affiliate link that points to a website where people can buy Bark phones. If they buy a bark phone, the link will be credited to the ID associated w/Taylor.

I mean I am presently being tweeted at on X by folks celebrating that a guy killed a young teenager who tried to steal his car so there's uh no real greener grass to be had. X is overall less miserable because it has a lower % of truly ill and violent people on it due to the much larger userbase.

I think there's a huge shift to group schats and other private settings where you don't have to worry about deeply unwell people making your life miserable. To the average young normie, what conceivable incentive is there to post online, publicly, about politics?

I think the problem here is question-begging. You can't just say "a 14-year-old has a right to any medical treatment they want" and that's that. Generally speaking society at large has something to say about these questions. Most people seem to disagree with this one and it's not bigotry to say so.
