The site is zoned Corridor 3 because it is along a BRT line, which is exactly the type of place where we want to enable more people to live. The Planning Commission approved the project on a 4-3 vote, but a lot of neighbors showed up in opposition and are appealing to the Council to reject it.

The City Council has an opportunity to approve one such project at their BHZ committee tomorrow (12/2). There is a proposal for a 13-unit building at 4109 Sheridan Ave S in the Linden Hills neighborhood.

As people receive their property tax notices and the City Council considers their budget, something to keep in mind is that one of the easiest ways for the city to get revenue is to simply allow new market-rate housing to be built here.
