Every other art form i have tried BESIDES comics, is less difficult than comics. Its CRAZY how much work comics is. Its exhausting. Its so much endless labor. On the other hand now everything else feels easier so now i am very powerful like a shonen anime character taking off his limiters.

I just wanted to see how my old OC would look with my current style. Random fact: since the story was all about a character looking like another one, I had to use some specific features because I have same-face syndrom 😂 and decided to use droopy eyes and wavy hair.

I used my pencil as much as I could with my pencil extender, but I can't sharpen it anymore, so I guess it's time for it to retire! Thank you for serving me all this time. 👏

(Male) Alear - Fire Emblem Engage This one took forever to draw (I ended up giving up on the pose I wanted initially because it just wouldn't go right orz) and to paint especially because I was sick and only painted little by little whenever I woke up to eat 😥 Glad I could finish it!

It's my first day with no fever so I left the bed, but I still feel like shit because of sinusitis 🥺 (it hurts behind my eyes lmao) and the first dish I cook is tempura orz I should have gone for the pasta. 😅

I've been bedridden since yesterday but one annoying neighbour (maybe his kid though) is playing the same music again and again and again, which woke me up and now it annoys me too much to sleep 😭😭😭 also I hope it's not covid, but it doesn't feel like a regular cold from how bad I'm feeling orz

Enjoying the process of creating art, even when it is hard, is the entire reason to do it in the first place. It should be fun. If someone's entire reason for wanting to be an artist is to be handed the result, then it will never be a satisfying endeavor. That is a spiritual dead end.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If you think artists are just "naturally talented", you're deeply wrong. The only difference between you and us is that we kept trying when it didn't come out like we hoped. You can always make art yourself. There's no bad time to start, you can start now.

And sometimes you miss the mark! Sometimes you never finish an idea! Sometimes you hate something you’ve spent way too many hours on! Sometimes you make truly bad work! Congrats, that is what makes you a creative

Things shouldn’t be easy from the get go, if they were no one would find any feeling in what they do. Frustration is just as important as that satisfaction in the process of making art! The struggle to communicate an idea is the point, “solving” it instantly defeats that in the worst way

I know others have likely said this, but the point and the joy in art is that it is problem solving in action. It is watching your improvement piece by piece and creating a personal visual language Whenever people use AI instead it quite literally defeats that entire purpose of creating

When you work on a comic you are also working on toning down the perfectionistic side of yours: you'll learn the hard way that not every panel or page will be perfect (especially in the early chapters) or else you'll never get your story done. Your art evolves just like your story!

Since I write only short stories (20-30p oneshots or a volume of 5-6 chapters) I have to know the end before starting drawing. 😅 But I'm also a control freak when it comes to writing so I like to have the important points figured out.

I went to my parents' place to escape the heat during my vacation, and I just noticed I forgot to take my watercolor paints 😂 I took everything else, the brushes, the palette, the drawing I have to paint, but not the watercolor box. 💀
