being able to use a ventra card would induce more rides on metra because of the simplicity of fare payment.

someone close to me is too anxious to ride metra towards downtown because the ventra app is too complex and cash isn’t an option. instead, they get driven to the cta because it’s easy to tap their fare card and go. they take metra home though thanks to ticket machines at their downtown station.
