Got a GameCube as a kid with Luigi's Mansion and there's a very early part where a bunch of paintings rattle on the wall and talk to you with creepy purple text boxes. Didn't get past that part until I was much older lol Luckily I also had Mario Sunshine which was a much more pleasant experience

I got sick while traveling so I ended up playing a fair amount of Umamusme and hey that game's really good! Idk if I'll stick with it long term, a lot of the f2p friction still rubs me the wrong way, but hey I've gotten like 15~ hours of enjoyment from it which is more than most games👍

Well I downloaded Umamusume on my phone but it immediately crashes when I try to open it. I'll take this as a sign that this will not be the gacha game that finally gets me 😅 (Apparently this is a problem with a lot of Android phones, it'll get fixed soon I'm sure)

Started this last night now that Beyond the Horizon got delayed to early next year (I'm trying to spread out my Falcom games a bit lol) I can already tell this is gonna be a gooood summer vibes game to play while waiting for other things to come out👍

Completely unrelated to all the dating sim talk today, I started a new playthrough of Tokimeki Memorial 2 over the weekend and finished a run tonight. What a great game man, highly recommend it if you can play it!

Alright I think I'm putting Hundred Line down for now after doing a full route in the 2nd scenario. I'm really glad I took the time this year to play this great, wildly ambitious game. It's definitely my favorite Kodaka game, but I'm not a huge Danganronpa guy so that's not shocking 😅

Hell yeah this rules! I played the first Sakura Wars earlier this year and loved it so I'm excited to get to this soon. (I'll probably still play in Japanese since I'm still trying to learn it but I'm sure this translation is great)

Finished Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, pretty impressive for a game that came out about a year after Infinite Wealth. I'm shocked how funny these games still are even after playing like 14 of them. Now I need to play something completely out of my comfort zone after this and Trails back to back lol

Just wrapped up Sakura Wars, and damn that's a good game. The animation is incredible, I loved all the characters, and the back and forth from the theater to the battles was really fun. The tactics were pretty simple and I had some issues with the pacing, but overall I get why it's so beloved

Finished my first Ys game this weekend, Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. Shocking no one I really liked it, turns out Falcom makes good games. Also it's wild playing a 15 hour RPG after playing so many 100+ ones the past few years. After Daybreak II I'll definitely be coming back to Ys

My top 12 games I played last year. I ended up moving Persona 3 Reload out since it's a remake of a game I've already played and putting CFB 25 at the end. It was cool to have it back but I fell off quickly and Power Pro was so much more fun for me
