Between September 2017 and January 2025, a minimum of 4,028 Chicago children were injured by a car while walking or biking. These injuries didn't happen at random. 29% occurred between 7-9 a.m. or 3-5 p.m. on school days. Kids should be able to walk or bike to school without fear.
