Wacom recently asked me to talk about why I make queer comics, and given there are multiple bills right now floating around in congress that are effectively "we will kill your livelihood if we get a sniff of queer" I had some pretty strong, simply feelings to relay.

slightly countering the bad vibes of today by sharing what is probably the best thing I've read about Marathon a beautiful read about its world as a parallel to zone fiction, about how miraculous its environmental storytelling is, and the inherent yuri of the moments in between everything

like apart from being cruel and tragic it's also just stupid. Destiny 2 is a great game and has been for years. why would you just chuck that in the bin like it was nothing.

there isn't a problem with the game's industry. there's a problem with every industry and every publicly traded company. getting a "nice CEO who cares" or whatever won't fix anything until things are addressed at a more fundamental societal level. the system will always drive towards this behavior.

i do not want the games industry to recover. i want something new to be built atop its now ashen foundation and i want those who previously brought ruin, rot, and misery to be outside looking in as they give up and seek some other well to poison

Every time you see one of these headlines, hundreds of families just had to start lining up at the food bank, just had to learn to beg their landlord not to send a grip of thug cops to throw them out on the street. Layoffs right now are functionally a permanent unemployment sentence. We need help.

I have been impacted by the layoffs at Bungie/SIE. While today's news hurts, I do not have a single regret from my near 7 years here. I have grown so much as a Producer and a person and it's because of the people I worked with.

I'm sad Sponsored Survival is gone from Marathon for now, I hope it comes back in a similar or better form because I've really valued having a mode that serves a buncha nice purposes. Nice playground to learn hero abilities, cooldown from heated runs in full PVP, warmup before cryo runs, etc

Last year I attempted to raise the Empty Homes Tax which would encourage these units to be rented out. This move by Carney is also confusing considering the province paused the community housing fund, which delivers deeply affordable units.
