I could feel my mood tanking the last couple days after a stressful social interaction and today I think I’ve hit a full blown depressive episode. So that’s how I’ve been.

Kyros from #Wayfinder feels like he was designed specifically for @sarenstone.com to fixate on lol. He’s just a little guy! I think I would pay actually money dollars to see their take on The Engineer or Trickster and their GD robo heels.

I've been wanting to use my warforged design for Cheats for Cheats' helmet in XIV, so I finally drew it. Behold him also cleaned up and dressed nicely for a change! Adra probably tied his tie.

So turns out when I messed up my wrists it ended up making it really easy to re-injure my wrists and hands while I was trying to recover. So that was a fun journey.

Something I’ve come to realize too late is that I never showed enough appreciation for how supportive my mom was. She never really understood me, but she was unconditionally, wholeheartedly supportive of everything I ever did.

Seize the day. Sink your teeth into it. Consume the screaming, writhing day mercilessly, as the other days look on in horror, and let that be a lesson to the rest of the week.

A downside to having a large cat like Nomad is that while he looks a little chonky it is largely deceptive. He is 12+ pounds of muscle, and wrestling all of that when you’re trying to put liquid pain meds in his cheek pouch is not easy. My little mans is squirrelly AF.

When it rains it pours I guess. I’ve got a small abscess on my gums and while I was trying to figure out how we were gonna pay for that Nomad suddenly started acting strange last night. This morning he’s in obvious pain so we truck him to the vet and… he’s also got bad teeth. With a 2k price tag 🫠

One of my biggest hurdles in learning German is that learning programs teach Hochdeutsch but the only person I have to practice with is Bavarian lol

The house I grew up in had a row of Russian olive trees in the yard as a privacy screen between us and the road. They were there before I had memories and were there when I moved away 18 years later. I have a lot of memories tied to those trees, all vivid and good.

Finding cheaper and budget friendly recipes is so frustrating, because more often than not they rely heavily on tomatoes/tomato sauces. It’s fine and nutritious and a great option! But if you can’t have tomatoes like me it leaves very little to work with.

Art is just so fucking cool. I love scrolling my feed here and seeing piece after piece of what feels like the true universal language of humanity. Even if we don't share the same words you can draw a picture of something that matters to you and I will feel it in some way. I love that connection.

Had the recent realization that my struggles with my art lately have been largely fueled by me fighting my own art style. I keep trying to force it into something it’s not instead of just embracing what I have. I decided to stop doing that, and had a fun time drawing tonight. More art coming soon.

The emotional slump you fall into when you get inspired to finally draw after a long creative drought… and then absolutely beef three drawings in a row.

Man, artists cannot win. It's bad enough AI is, y'know, the way it is. But more and more genuine artists are getting accused of AI for just being human and making human mistakes. Or just having a style that AI loves to scrape.

Finding more and more of my favorite artists on here is making me feel inspired to finally sit down and make more art.

Related to staying up all night reading: why do all the books I love have little to no fanart ever? Yes, I could just draw my own, but that’s work and I want to look at *other* people’s art. I will still draw some but still
