When I little, I dreamed of working in animation, inspired by films like Sleeping Beauty and Bambi. Ten years ago, I went to college and got to do just that. Now it feels like the future I wanted isn't possible anymore, thanks in part by the very same companies that inspired me all those years ago..

I returned to an old idea for lineless painting practice. I spent just over 3 hours on this...which is exponentially faster than usual/the alternative This feels illegal. Welp, I'm off to go practice dying for 8 hours.

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone. I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

Artventure at the magnificient 100+ yr old Mission Inn in Riverside, CA for our 2nd datingversary! I meant to draw more, but we ended up spending most our our time getting lost in the maze of artifact-laden hallways and corridors. Fascinating architecture, it felt like we were in Europe!

I had a weird dream the other night about a Marshmallow spider, called such because it had a comically large abdomen colored like a toasted marshmallow. Its bite can be deadly to smaller humans. Here's a visual depiction to trigger your aracnaphobia before bed.
