̷S̷̷h̷̷e̷'̷s̷ a̷̷l̷̷r̷̷e̷a̷̷d̷̷y̷ ̷c̷̷u̷̷r̷̷s̷̷e̷̷d̷. "A number of them, yes." Inrin wanted to scoff or laugh but that would be too painful right now so she ended up smiling wryly at her boss' way. "And, no, I don't really want to stab you, sir. Even if I'm so curious about it." She looked over the sword once again.

Inrin stayed silent, having a feeling that she'd offend him so she didn't protest when he picked her up. "N-No, it's fine." She sighed, trying to relax as much as she could, "Let's just leave before anyone else can come over." And she has a report to do, some annoying time ridding the glass...

There were a few adventurers walking around, here and there, and a few with belts or vests and other leather materials with little or no embroidery at all. However, Inrin smiled and gently took Maggie's attention, "Someone like that?" An older woman, a mage, smiled as she fixed up her belt—

She needs his help, that much is true, but the idea of her superior, Makimoto, carrying her? It was a weird image but Inrin knew her limits. "...is it okay for *you* though?" She asked despite the fact that it was him offering to do so, "The others are watching." And who knows what they'll assume?

Inrin nodded a little, hand on her stomach. Comedically, she'd never admit it but now, she has the worse stomachache ever. Atleast it really is all gone but Makimoto is right, her whole body hurts and her healing is slow with the shards hindering it. Despite the dizziness, Inrin kept standing and—

Feeling his touch on her face, Inrin couldn't help but tense up, her breathing rather quick and ragged— Slowly, that mask began to pull away from her skin and soon fell into Makimoto's hands. Of course, despite the transformation, she didn't leave the battle unscathed.

"...you know," Inrin said, her brown eyes staring at the katana—her pupils a deep abyss that drank it all in. Her neck felt sticky with her own blood but feeling Makimoto's warmth lingering on them, it had her heart racing— 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐝. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐝. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐭, 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐬𝐨...𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠.

"B-But it's-" Inrin winced a little when she felt that shard being dug out, breath shaky as she watched Makimoto pull out the glass piece from her arm, letting it bleed and coat his hand in red, and slowly stitch itself up. There are still more but somehow, Inrin couldn't help but be eased.

And Inrin listened intently, brows furrowed as she tried to understand but she can tell that the other woman was getting worked up. "Miss Maggie..." She tried to speak to help calm her down, "It's a lot to take in, no? But that's the point of other realms, right? Other beliefs and such?"

Inrin was shocked by the sudden rescue, not expecting Makimoto out of all the possible aid. "Sir???" She internally corrected herself before she could snap at Makimoto, remembering their difference in roles in this world, "What are you doing here?? You can put me down, I don't need attending to."

... Inrin isn't really a fan of pants, only because they feel so restricting. Shorts, sure, but those aren't really good-looking with a suit and tie unless you find the right one. But she didn't like showing off her legs either so it led to wearing skirts instead and she opted for a long kind.

"Yes, Lennan. They are the God of Love and takes watch of this specific region of this country." Inrin nodded, pulling her hand away, "Apologies, this must be a lot to take in. Are you alright?" Because she can understand and the mention of gods can be overwhelming to hear about.

But Inrin just smiled, fixing up her own tattered blazer and shirt— Not to mention, she's also soaked from swamp water and snow. "I'll probably head home, sir, if you'd let me. I don't really want to get sick from this." Besides, she had her own other creatures to kill, she realized.

The confession had her freezing and Inrin stared back at Makimoto in stunned silence, face warming up again. But she can't gauge if he's really interested in her that way or if he's just someone so bored that he'd dabble on things outside his understanding. ...one thing was for certain though.

"Portal stones?" Inrin looked over curiously, smiling, "You travel between worlds? That's surprising. The gods here are usually very wary when letting in outlanders. You're very lucky then in getting here without much problem."

"Oh, no." Inrin chuckled, shaking her head. For a moment, she glanced at the tulle fabric but soon peeled herself away from the display, "I'm ready now, don't worry." And she led them to the door, nodding in thanks to the shopkeeper, before meeting the bustling town outside.

However, looking at it more closely, it did not seem like a shrine for worship but more of like...an altar for the departed. "Hmm?" Inrin looked over, a bit confused, "Oh, you mean the Crow Mother? No, she hasn't been here for decades. She just helped me and I am grateful to her, that's just it."

"What?" Inrin stared at him and frowned, shaking her head, "Absolutely not, I'm not letting you come back here." She said it with finality, brows furrowed as she stared at Makimoto as if he's playing a sick joke. Maybe he is. "You can say that you're my superior once back in Shibuya but here?"

And she pulled them into the maw of the tree, which began to close behind them and everything went dark. It wasn't anything malicious—quite the opposite really. The darkness hugged them with warmth and this sense of comfort. Until their feet found solid land and Inrin steadied them, gazing ahead.

Asked that, Inrin seemed to shine and she smiled—clearly, she has great respect for this Crow Mother. Maybe even worship in her eyes. "She's the first human woman in our world and she saved me when no one else could see or hear me." She sighed, continuing onwards and looking ahead.

"Inrin, it's nice to meet you, Miss Maggie." The dark haired woman smiled and nodded, "I'm glad to find another wanderer like myself. It's always better to explore when you're with other people. Shall we be off? Or are you still looking for some fabric?"

"Oh, I'm from this land but not this kingdom." Inrin reassured, chuckling, "Though, asking a local would be good. Would it be alright if I tag along?" Although, so much has changed, atleast she recognizes certain shops and such...

Inrin stared ahead, axe in hand as she looked around and was mumbling...numbers? Coordinates? Time? "...when we get to the cabin, there is a door there and through that door, it will bring us back to our world." She glanced back at Makimoto, the initial aggravation gone.

It makes sense. At the same time, anything can happen here, really, and she almost forgot that. Any single thing can be possible here. Such as Makimoto simply getting her to warm her hands against his chest and Inrin had no time to process it even happening. Something about a question to answer?

Inrin focused on the cold, the frosty blood on her hands and arms, and the strange relief she could feel when her missing rib is restored. She slowly put her hands down, turning to Makimoto with those brown, doe eyes staring back at golden ones. For a moment, she did try to look but...

"Leatherworker..." Inrin hummed, thinking for a moment as she gazed out the dressmaking shop and towards the Kingdom of Trazyca, watched by the Goddess of Love and ruled by Queen Antoinette Deddario. Although there were a few things modernized, most of the areas were still heavily influenced by—

"Is that right? I say go for it." Inrin smiled, nodding at the other woman encouragingly, "I'm not good at sewing though, I always did prefer daydreaming and dancing as a child." Inrin smiled, "Needlework was done by my older sisters and mothers after father—" She cut herself off, almost confused.

Inrin scoffed a little, "No, not even worth it. Sorry though for the sudden story." She smiled, looking over, "What about you? Looking for a dress? Or some fabric as well?"

"Shut—" Inrin snapped and turned to look at Makimoto, glaring now with, once again (ENRAGINGLY), a reddened face. But then she paused, face turning blank as she watched the witch's body and heard her whimpers and cries. She can tell that it was just...scared.

Inrin glanced over and shook her head, letting out a light laugh, "No, no, it just reminded me of something." She hummed, staring at it, "I was about to be married when he, umm, hurt me bad before we ever did. Then he ran away like a coward." Except she didn't remember much except for that gist.

Staring at some fabric at a tailoring shop, silently touching some tulle and lace fabrics. "...oh, well, atleast I didn't get to hear your vows. It would have hurt more than it already did."

Inrin looked genuinely disgusted when Makimoto brought the liquid to his nose, "Hey! Don't do that!" She let out an exasperated groan, turning and bringing down her axe again on another witch getting too close, "I didn't think they multiplied so much—" A squelching sound and scream cut her off.

Nibbling on some cookies, trying to cover her mouth and hide crumbs.

Once again, the princess was shaken but instead of focusing on him again, face red from either the cold or that she got flustered once more, Inrin turned with her axe in hand as spectral-like witches came forth. They were gorgeous in looks but frigid in the heart, hissing and glaring.

Inrin paused and nodded, picking up what seemed to be a simple tree axe and she brought it with her easily. It didn't seem like she'll be transforming soon and her own wound was still healing. It was strange to actually harbor a wound that wasn't fixed in a second and Inrin frowned.

Once again, Inrin was ready to yell at him, flustered beyond her days at what he was suggesting— ...honestly, she thought of doing that before but decided not to and now, she's just tempted to toss him in the fire to really warm up.

Inrin almost screamed but that was one satisfaction she refused to give him. She also made sure to try and take the spoon from him, forcing her face to stay cool and collected. But really, it's hard to do that when you're shaky and your heart is just thrumming so fast and loud in your ears.

He made a point and Inrin hated to agree. Makimoto is no normal human but that didn't mean she isn't going to worry. "Ugh," She moved to take the spoon, eating the stew, "If you're chipper enough to tease, fine. I won't go out there then and we'll find something once the storm settles a bit."

Inrin's face scrunched up a bit and she sighed, about to counter his claims with the usual: "I'm keeping you safe because, in business, you are my superior and personally, I'm keeping you safe for my own sake." When Makimoto tried to get her to sit, she didn't and her eyes stayed on the soup.
