one of my goals this year is to use my switch 2 to curb my social media usage. not saying i'll completely unplug but i feel like replacing a portion of Phone Time with Handheld Time would be a lot more personally fulfilling than doomscrolling as the default way to pass the time

i am so delighted by kevin in this game🥹 he's been my favorite character since 3rd and im glad they're doing something with him

really happy with the pace that horizon gives you the mechanics you'll be working with the rest of the game, the fact that van starts out with both of his s-crafts is such a treat

i honestly wonder if this is because pokemon has such a deep foothold in the content creator space that the creatives behind the series itself are more intimately familiar with this kind of personality. not too hard to study up when there's hundreds of hours of content about your own games

idk if it's because i played daybreak/daybreak ii on switch 1 and am now playing horizon on switch 2 but everything about this game feels so much smoother and snappier. feels like they prioritized that with the new craft animations

deep into dk bananza's postgame and my only real complaint with this game is that the atmosphere is a little too loud. by a certain point most of your playtime is spent listening to the bananza themes and hearing dk scream and punch over and over with crazy particle effects and it gets a bit grating

there's this knife and sword shop in our local mall that also sells a bunch novelty swords from different shows and movies and games. anyways they've started carrying hunting knives with the CONFEDERATE FLAG on them. right next to the perfect replica of rean schwarzer's tachi. which feels so surreal

was thinking about a pokemon game set during one of the various ancient wars with trainers and pokemon fighting alongside each other before i realized two things 1. the optics of a human hitting a pikachu with a sword are pretty bad 2. this is just xenoblade chronicles 2: torna the golden country
