Quick thread of today's

If your argument against radical structural changes in broken countries like the USA is just boring doomerism “It’ll never work because a better world can’t exist” I’m not interested in your politics. Maybe just take a rest and please get therapy.

I believe in a world where play helps us be better people. Play is a just, necessary goal to incite in the world. And I want to be a part in that.

I think games have an opportunity to help people connect, promote, learn, reveal, and incite belief and action into the real-world. Play can help us see beyond ourselves; To live lives that transform and transcend us.

K! So! We spent this week figuring out how the tariffs, inflation and other bullshit is going to affect business. Time to thread. For those not in the know, I'm the Director at Hachette Boardgames USA and I import games for foreign publishers and market and sell them in the US. 1/?

Either city would be amazing compared to Louisville and both a massive step up in terms of abortion and lgbtqia human rights protections. Chicago recently indicated immigrant protection too. Glad these cities being considered!

More games for more gamers is good for the hobby. There's a valid argument make that there are too many games coming out each year, but I can't really believe that this one [a sequel to an immensely popular game from an S tier publisher designed by an up and coming designer] is the problem 10/

I’ve been beating myself up for signing up for a holiday market at what turned out to be a mostly dead mall. Today, a young Black man got so excited chatting with me about my store & learning D&D, then turned around and said “Mom, I found my people!!” 1000% worth it for this single interaction 😭💖
