Hello #SFFChat I'll share part of a scene from At the Road's End. It's from the last draft, and I loved writing it because it felt like I finally got this particular idea right. A thing that had bothered me for several drafts finally worked. Text also in Alt Text.

Hello #SFFChat I'm pretty good at building tension, but not at releasing it. At some point, there needs to be a payoff, and I find that really difficult to write. The exception is if I can go all poetic and dramatic and turn it into some kind of surrealist collage of imagery.

Hello #SFFChat My guilty pleasure is shower scenes. Where the character just stands in the shower and enjoys the sensation of hot water against their skin. Other than that, what I enjoy the most are scenes where I can get over the top poetic/dramatic and just bombard the reader with impressions...

Hello #ReadIndieFantasy I'm currently reading The Queen of Dreams and Dust, by Grace Carlisle, which is a pretty heavy story with some dark themes and difficult questions. I also just finished my Boss is the Devil, and it's a much more light-hearted story. Review to come.

I didn't do chapter names, but I named each scene, and I'm using the scene names as epigraphs. Sometimes it's weird, and sometimes it comes out real nice. I could change the names, of course, and no one would know, but it feels like cheating.
