Regarding Prime Minister Carney’s federal budget: I don’t pretend to fully know it, and there are elements that concern me, but if I were the NDP I’d pledge to support it if a significant investment in urban public transit (nation-building, climate etc) was added, and if I were PM Carney I’d agree.

You might have recently noticed some signs proudly declaring “The 19 is getting faster!” Sadly, “faster” is a pitiful 3%. The city’s own goal for speeding up buses is 10%. They’re making this proposal mild in advance. We’re here to say “dream bigger, we want this!” Visit our website to take action.

This. Is. Huge. It appears that the judge saved the bike lanes because they found that: -removing the bike lanes would reduce the safety of cyclists, going against the charter of rights and freedoms -removing the bike lanes would worsen congestion, going against the removal's stated purpose
