Credit where it is due, we did create the first openly trans character in the batverse and she has meant a lot to a lot of people. I always wanted her to turn into a costumed hero and had plans for her to be Batgirl for a bit when Barbara was injured. It was @planetx.bsky.social who came through!

A new character: Cha-Cha Gitano. Named after the song by Yma Sumac, and inspired by 60s Nichelle Nichols as the OG Uhura. Like many sex workers in the story, Cha-Cha invested in body modifications years back to gain an edge, but she's got a lot more going on than just her body and her looks.
