It’s like me: Now I’m being banned from other things too! Regular people: Yeah abusers put people everywhere. White writers: Perhaps ye hath quoted the demanded Black woman after one mention of winding down the conversation. Booooo and be gonest.

Basically, everyone who isn’t bending the knee for access or tie-in immediately gets it. Which makes me think white writers probably do too. I will stay brave.

It’s always kind of amazing meeting members of the gaming community and telling them I’m the woman disinvited from OGF and permabanned without a single conversation from Gen Con. They’re like oh that’s…YOU? Usually it goes: Well yes you seem terrifying, and wow you must be doing something right.

Yes, I'm hoping to share snippets from the translations to boost engagement, but the South African ship was significantly delayed, and the last ship to join (and rush to catch up to, with much sea sickness) the flotilla. So I don't know when we can do that. Please, let's just value this art.

This point is SO important. No struggling creative is being asked to fund these books. (Though the smaller donations and support to the art shop are so appreciated.) This would fund REALLY fast with mainstream visibility. REALLY fast. And it's *so* worthy.

I just ... don't know how to express what it feels like - finding your people after decades, doing all your best to fit in, and then having most of them be happy that you're sad. "Well if only she'd been quiet about the abuse." ok I'm sad. They don't care.

Look around and notice the number of writers who are BIPOC and of marginalized genders who have learned to say, "I was wrong about this." Or "I'm sorry." Or "You didn't deserve that." w/"Could we talk?" No one likes it, but you do it and move on. How do we get cwm to try it? Because we need that.

We have to start having accountability for white men too. And it can't be stopped by, "Oh but they're nice I feel bad saying anything." I'm saying they're enabling widespread racist abuse. They're saying I'm aggressive. But everyone refuses to see facts or evidence, so you decide.

They call this "aggressive" because they are viewing it through the lens of darvo.

Anyway, I don't want to hear people's shit about being on the right side of things when ESdB said regarding the anthology we lost thousands of dollars on that I "stand on the backs of the marginalized to enrich myself" and "use BIPOC as shields" and he's the one still invited to panels, and warmly.

So if you'd have told me a few years ago, hey good news, you survived your mental break down during full isolation. BUT! You'll have to choose between getting to spend time with almost everyone who brought you joy except in your house and on other continents - OR enabling racism and abuse...

Most painful to me about this is the absence of even a speck of empathy from WM. Not one WM messaged me to simply ask if Emily is doing ok. Several have messaged me to tell me directly that they are afraid she is hurting THEIR standing among "industry professionals" (aka other WM).

For those "unsure" about me - and feel free to send this to the majority of them who pretend they aren't able to listen to me, I have some "do you knows" today to consider.

This is their response across the board "Well I heard..." then they walk away. While still refusing to talk to me. Not one of them have allowed me to speak. Not one. There's a reason the phrase "permanently banned without discussion or appeal" is suddenly a repeated and acceptable thing.

The absolute irony of genre justifying their cruelty toward me and my community *because* they are sticking together with the disinformation and with white men. When that proves they could have chosen to stand together just as strong with the truth. Against abuse. With marginalized genders.

While I would very much prefer a world where I'm not tortured by scenarios of being isolated, ignored, mocked, and abandoned every night then waking up feeling like I'm dying, I find peace every morning living with truth, hope, caring for each other, and wonderful, wonderful, friends. Love you guys.
