addition: runa's backstory and life pre-game msq time is still mostly the same! what i'm referring to are the events of the msq/wol journey which does not see runa come into the msq as a main character until 6.0's story. but you know her more than the characters will as you see her story in full.

having a divergent canon story is fun because with lumita’s first 5 expac wol arc i get to create buildup to runa as she’s not in appearance until endwalker and yet her existence hovers over facets of the plot too loud to ignore. when she’s mentioned even in passing, it sticks and makes you wonder.

To anyone that needs to hear this: It's okay to completely rework, change, or alter your OC whenever you want. It's okay to be excited about what's new. It's okay to make a new shard whenever a new reflection is announced. It's okay to retcon or re-write your lore whenever a new expansion drops.

also lore addition: runa’s original state of existence didn’t have any race or gender attached to it, but the power that fell from the sundering lived and grew in the dalmascan forests, where her appearance was influenced by viera, who were mostly feminine in the immediate area.

a lot of my runa changes were done internally among friends so if i can timeline it, i spent a lot of 7.0 tying her into her own story while still not being wol and seeing if that story would one day matter to the msq, and that time seems to be coming with evercold.
