Reading the #COP29 summary and not surprised to see that the just transition work programme could not reach an agreement, with discussions to continue at SB62 in 2025. At #COP28, the work program developed a scope so narrow it was unworkable for the Global South, and negotiations collapsed at SB60.

Was excited to speak at the Association of Green Councillors today! A great group of people, and I was able to share some examples of best practice from Bristol including the great work of the Climate and Nature Partnership and Just Transition Declaration Team, and my EDI work with the sector.
