We went to visit a SSSI today to look for orchids. I found something I can’t identify. It was a fen/bog area and this wee ‘head’ was growing out of sphagnum moss next to sundew. About 3cm tall. Top looks like a horsetail but with tiny wee flowers.

Found my first wood anemone of the year today in Anagach woods. A small remnant of the Caledonian Pine Forest. The anemones are indicators of ancient woodland. They only spread about 6ft in 100 years.
