Lots of effort for an interior you can’t see much of honestly lol. Yes the control panel did sit weirdly in the middle of the hatch opening like that. The intention was that it folds out of the way after splashdown and the astronaut would egress through the neck of the capsule.

Despite how tiny and low-res this interior is, I went ahead and shrunk a high-res version of the control panel and pasted it over the simple approximation of the panel from the kit. It’s funny because you won’t really see it and I’m not upgrading anything else inside. 🤷🏻‍♀️
