Congratulations to City Tech Professor Mery Diaz and @cunyedu Deputy Director and Compliance Officer Lucy McIntyre who were recognized for their work in expanding access to higher ed at HESC's College Access Conference. Dr. Diaz is the first recipient of the Dr. Guillermo Linares Leadership Award.

In partnership with @council.nyc.gov, CUNY Citizenship Now! is helping individuals apply for U.S. citizenship on March 7 in the Bronx. Free and confidential services are provided.

Dr. Alicia Alvero has already advanced important University priorities through her leadership of CUNY’s 2025–2034 Master Plan and the development of the Transfer Initiative, and her guidance will be essential as we continue strengthening CUNY’s position as a national leader in public higher ed.

For the first time, U.S. Poet Laureate Arthur Sze and the New York State Poet Laureate and CUNY Distinguished Professor Kimiko Hahn, appeared together at a CUNY campus on Monday. It was a powerful and engaging night reflecting on poetry, translation, and connections made through language.

I joined @baruch.cuny.edu President S. David Wu at the Bearcat food pantry for a food drive to support students facing food insecurity. Baruch’s public safety officers collected 800 donations, which we helped deliver to the pantry and stock along with student volunteers.

There is no better proof of the power of a @cuny.edu education than seeing firsthand the impact our alumni are making in their industries and their communities. Our graduates continue to make us proud long after they leave the classroom — and this list is a way to recognize their achievements.
