As Chair of the Aging Committee, I applaud @GovKathyHochul’s State of the State proposal to expand SCRIE & DRIE by raising income limits from $50K to $75K. This update will help all New Yorkers stay safely housed. I look forward to working with my colleagues to make this happen.

When an allergic reaction strikes, every second counts. That’s why I helped pass a new law that mandates insurance coverage for EpiPens and caps costs at $100 per year. Emergency medication should always be a right for all, not a luxury for some.

To help ease the financial crunch caused by the rising cost of living, I helped enact a multi-year increase to the state’s minimum wage. On Jan. 1, the minimum wage will increase to $17 per hour in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.

Today we hosted our Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway! In partnership with the Met Council we were able to provide dozens of frozen turkeys to neighbors across the district, ensuring families can enjoy a warm and festive holiday meal together.
