Some #pixelart for Children of Moss

Children of Moss is much more focused on exploration and atmosphere, but I'm currently working on figuring out an equally as deep combat system along side wrapping up Vermin Genesis.

I promised to show footage of both of my games. This is my other game, working title: Children of Moss. This project is still very early in development. I started working on it before Vermin Genesis and both project has helped me figure out how to bridge the gap between gameplay and visual design.

In Vermin Genesis you will be able to fight the worm himself from the hit song A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Connecticut.

So basically in Vermin Genesis you play as a bird and your goal is to hunt down the last remaining humans left on earth and finally end the plague of mankind!!! :>

I will be posting footage of my two game projects tonight.

I used to find it very challenging to refrain from uploading work in progress pictures or assets from my projects to social media. It's a well known bad habit to share that stuff too soon. I may have over corrected that behavior and now find it really hard to post the stuff I'm working on.

I once again went to GDC this year and had a great time catching up with my game dev friends and meeting new people. I hosted a big indie showcase event at a hackerspace that doubled as a Smash Bros tournament and way more people showed up than I anticipated!! Thank you to everyone who attended. :>

The DLSS5 meme is genuinely harmful imo because it gives the product a level of marketing it doesn't deserve. The virality will likely be used as a metric of success regardless of the tone people use while making fun of it. I wish people put as much effort into spreading useful open source tools.

I was playtesting my game after editing all the json files it was way too hard, like the best weapons and upgrades wouldn't stop me from dying to the overtime hoard of enemies, so instead of trying to fine tune the difficulty I just started adding more insane ways to kill lots of enemies.
