India 1912, 2 Rupees After much searching I failed to find any stamps from Portuguese India so you'll have to have this one. Last night we had a group meal where the guests bought dishes from Portuguese related countries. 1/2

Bought some false moustaches as the rest of my team are blokes and there's a lot of Movember solidarity going on on the morning stand-up meeting and I felt left out :D Now I want to go to the party on the packet as it looks excellent.

German Empire, 1st April 1926, 1M I love this set of stamps, I think the graphic design is tip top, and this is my favourite of the set. It's not the most expensive, that's the 3 Mark one which has a catalogue value of around £100 for a used one. I just like the colours.

Oh my there are some great adverts in the stamp book I bought today. I can't help but think that the last one was incorrectly included as it was in the part that only had philatelic adverts

UK 1965 These two (fugly*) stamps were released 60 years ago tomorrow so I guess it's 160 years of International Telecommunications Union now! *Reckon you can get throw out of stamp club for insulting stamps? Was looking for rememberance-y stamps but these caught my eye

USA 1997 Feeling at least 38% more spoopy than anticipated. Pls enjoy these movie monster stamps. Unfortunately I don't have the Bela Lugosi Dracula one - many goth tears will surely flow.

Sweden, 1983. Commemorating Swedish winners of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. (Couldn't find any peace prize ones in my collection in the time I had) Maybe you'd have more luck in another category Donnie? I guess you have just as much chance of winning the Chemistry one

Turnip is being a bit clingy as the weather has turned. That said she was AWOL until 22:30 yesterday which freaked us out and had me doing circuits of the neighbourhood with a bag of cat treats. Nothing makes you realise how daft your cat's name is like having to shout it whilst out alone after dark

UK, 1996. Whooper swan Or is it whopper, Nigel*? For the non Brits, our pound-shop Oswald Mosely who pushes the lie that Romanian immigrants are eating our swans - failing to note that swans are mostly migratory.

Austria, 1920. I do love an over-print. This one was for the Carinthia referendum held to decide if the area should join the fledgling Yugoslavia or remain as part of Austria. Despite 70% of the population speaking Slovene 59% voted to stay in Austria. Still Austria now.

Penrhyn, Northern Cook islands, 1982 Bit late with stamp of the week but became inspired today noticing several posts mentioning the queen of hearts on the 28th anniversary of her death on the 31st. I'd assumed it was a rounder number given the number of posts but hey.

Australia 1995 $2.50 I've spent the last week and a bit knee deep in Dwarf Fortress. It is one of the most ridiculous games of all time. I love the gem mining and the random crap the game throws at you. I recently had a wereskink infestation. 'fun' ensued obvs.

Didn't do a stamp of the week over the weekend as I was distracted by creating this year's lino print stamp for the LVDGP. Some of you may be horrified to know that I organise a mostly annual vibrator decorating contest, now in it's 4th outing since 2021. Because of course I do...

No cheating post your lock screen... Mine is Dorian from dragon age inquisition. My favourite game character for the last 8 years and counting. Before that it was Alistair from Dragon age Origins. Maybe dragon age has the good Star Trek movie thing going on but sexy characters in odd numbered games

I just realised that I didn't let the good people of Bluesky know about my epic new flap. I dropped a pile of cash on an OnlyCat cat flap to stop the little shits bringing in mice and not only has it worked but it has also provided me with a stream of short cat videos of them coming and going

It's been a cat sort of week even though I was out with Pa Orange's dog harem on Weds. I have this beautiful FDC but I just noticed this stamp has a cat near some lilies which is a big nope as lily pollen can cause kidney failure in cats. Nice drawing and cancel though

Tonga, 1942 I have eschewed politics for another week and gone with this pair of stamps from Tonga because I love how visible the watermarks are on the reverse. It means I can tell this is the 1942-9 version not the 1897-1934 version.

Japan 2000, 80 yen Politically the year continues to be a dumpster fire. So this week I've been soaking Japanese stamps off paper as a form of brain relaxation. There are a fair few Dick Bruna stamps (but no Miffy which is boo as she's 70 this year)

The Syracuse coin stamp was the Italian equivalent of our Machin (queen's head) stamp, used for years with different colours, values and sizes but the overall same design. It was Italian cheese last night at homage2fromage. 8 wonderful cheeses. Burp.

I've previously mentioned the enormous Russian and USSR collection I bought for 50 quid from someone at my stamp club. Here it is in all its glory. All the albums (apart from the black one on the right), the booklets on top and the catalogue were included. Spasibo comrade!

Yesterday I was inducted into the Leeds gothic hall of fame at Leeds museum along with 16 other people / things including the central pillar of a nightclub. Living the dream, kids, I'm living the dream. That's me, top row middle. Having an ex who is a professional photographer certainly helps 😂

Last year my wife had breast cancer and a double mastectomy. This morning, for the first time ever, she was challenged in the changing rooms at the swimming pool. Her breasts were not what make her a woman - but, breasts or not, she is entitled to dignity and protection from vigilantes.

2 stamps! A blue 1867 5c from the Papal State and a 6L Vatican City from 1949. Personally I like Vatican stamps, they're well designed and printed if a little dry. I'm glad to hear the new pope is a protégé of pope Francis rather than another jump towards the authoritarian

Exciting post day! I ordered 2 copies of the new Ukrainian souvenir sheets directly from the Ukrainian post office a couple of weeks back. Wasn't sure if I'd get charged import duty but apparently not. It was cheaper than the resellers on eBay so I figured I'd test the process. 1/3

Every time I see a Cayman Islands stamp my thoughts eventually ends up thinking about how the EU legislation that would have made it harder to hide cash offshore eventually lead to Br**it. Not any of the things they pretended it was about. Just greed and tax avoidance.
