I missed this piece in @splitlipthemag.bsky.social back in May. @cindyhouse.bsky.social is one of my favorite writers and this a great example of why. She manages to evoke sadness, hilarity, and anger in under 1,000 words.

Yes, and I've found that Korean zombie shows do a pretty good job of this. All of Us are Dead is a nice example. It's a bit campy at first, but grows on you (at least it did for me).

Raising property tax on one & two-family homes, lowering taxes on developer properties, increasing the cost of parking tix, adding an additional tax to entertainment tickets (high-school & college sports, theater, music venues)... these local "progressive" legislators sure do like their reaganomics.
