Game 320: Lethal League Blaze A very unique and awesome take on the fighting genre, all about hitting your opponent with an increasingly faster ball while also avoiding it. It's the best kind of easy to learn, hard to master, made even better by a stylish presentation and a BANGER soundtrack.

Continuing the backlog saga, today I started Pipistrello and the Cursed YoYo. Dude, what a neat game! Just the right amount of fun and challenging. Not to mention all the references to Brazilian urban culture, playing a game with such a surreal, yet familiar setting is pretty cool.

That's a very chic and lengthy way of clarifying absolutely nothing. Also, support indie and small games 👍🏻

Game 319: Transformers Devastation Paying homage to the classic 90s animated show, and featuring all the flashy and over-the-top action one should expect from a Platinum game, this is a really awesome hack 'n slash game with great cel-shaded visuals and a very satisfying combat system.

...that would actually be amazing. Just imagine, they all die in the first third of the game and, instead of it being a sad and heavy moment for Samus to overcome, she just shrugs, says "welp," and continues with her mission alone. I know it's a bit morbid, but you know...

"wait wait wait, what to you mean whe badass bounty hunter was actually a WOMAN all this time?? Now that was unexpected! ...not that I care about it, no no, not at all, you go girl! Girl power and all that you know?"

I am tired of posting about genAI but WHAT IS THIS? Black Ops 7 rampantly using generated assets?! No shame at all, I'm telling you. SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS.

Game 318: F.I.S.T. - Forged In Shadow Torch A really solid metroidvania starring a little rabbit dude armed with a huge metal fist. I love its melee-based combat system, and the huge dieselpunk world is a ton of fun to explore too, not to mention how stunning it looks at times.

Name 4 dormant/dead franchises you want to be brought back. And Castlevania, of course, but Lebe already mentioned it.

Game 317: Strider One of the best revivals Capcom has ever released, and almost nobody paid attention. A real shame, because this game did an excellent job in modernizing the franchise with a superb, stylish, and fast-paced Metroidvania adventure, starring one of the company's greatest heroes.

Watching footage of the Switch 1 version of Sparking Zero made me feel weirdly nostalgic. It reminded me of when me and my brother used to play the PS2 version of The Simpsons Game. It looks choppier than the main version, but hey, at least it runs fine! I don't know, I might get it eventually.

Raz, because my life is very boring, but my mental health does need a bodyguard once in a while! Plus it would be an absolute joy to have this dork around 💚

I don't mind another Toy Story movie, I really don't. But like, WHY THE HELL IS WOODY BACK AT BONNIE'S HOUSE? I'm sure they'll explain why, but still, giving his arc such a definitive and positive conclusion (twice) only to then go back and undo everything (again, twice), is just baffling.

Game 316: Asura's Wrath This is the hypest videogame ever made and I'm not joking. Part interactive anime, part melee-focused action game, and part on-rail shooter, this is a visually stunning, impressive adventure filled with explosions, monumental battles and a bunch of very angry entities.

I hope such expensive games like Pokémon Pokopia at $70 push folks to look out for better games that are not published by Nintendo because they're already way ahead of what they're doing.

10GB. They're not bothering to put a 10GB game on an actual cartridge. Nuts. Dumb, even.

Game 315: Breakers Revenge Yet another game from the endless stockpile of fighters released after the Street Fighter 2 boom, and this one is a good one! It looks pretty sharp, plays really well, and has a very endearing roster of characters. Easily one of my favorites from that era.

Game 314: Blur I love arcade racers, and I also love kart racers. So back in the day, when I heard they were combining the two, I thought it was... a very stupid idea. But turns out I was wrong, and this ended up being one the coolest racing games of that gen, and one of my favorites as well.

Goof Troop, one of the most enjoyable, charming and clever co-op games out there. I wish it was easily accessible outside of having the actual SNES cartridge or through emulation, because it is a really special little gem of a game that deserves to be played.

Game 313: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind Rita's Rewind could've been just another beat 'em up based on a popular franchise, but it manages to stand out thanks to some very well-implemented variety, including on-rails shooting stages and even some Punch-Out!!-style Megazord fights.

My four most anticipated Games of 2026 To be fair, two of those games might come out this year, but I don't think it's that likely. Oh, and there's also Onimusha and Wolverine; I'm excited for those two too.

Game 312: Spiritfarer To be honest, I've never played this game myself, but I did help my sister get through it. And watching her enjoy the story, while I helped her understand the mechanics, was an experience I treasure a whole lot. The game is really cool too, very pretty, comfy and well-made.

This is how it's been inside my head trying to pick my game of the year.

Game 311: Ori and the Blind Forest A new favorite of mine, this game looks gorgeous, and that's not even my favorite part about it. The controls, the flow of the movement, that masterful, challenging level design, everything about how Ori plays makes it an absolute blast from start to finish.

Regarding games released this year, it's difficult for me to decide which was my favorite. I'd have to make a top 5, at the very least. But when it comes to games released whenever, that I first played in 2025, nothing surpasses Shadow of the Colossus. That game really made an impression on me.

Game 310: SSX Tricky Today is a very special day: it marks 24 years since the release of one of the greatest videogames of all time. A time capsule of what was considered "cool" in the early 2000s, this snowboarding classic is, to me, a prime example of a game that is, above all, fun.

Just finished Ori and the Blind Forest. It's peak. That's all I have to say.

Game 308: Celeste Celeste is a game about climbing to the top of a very tall mountain. What that truly represents is up to you to decide.

I'm having such a good time with Ori and the Blind Forest, lemme tell you. The fluidity of the movement, the absolute control you have over each and every jump, the tough but fair level design, that wonderful, ingenious bash move... Man, video games are really cool, aren't they?

I was thinking about my first exposure to the Ace Attorney franchise - one of my favorites ever - and how it took years for me to actually give it a chance. So today, I want to briefly talk about trying new things, not judging a book by its cover and, of course, that stupid lawyer game.
