Breath of Fire IV is underratedly one of the most gorgeously animated PS1 games. The 2D spritework is amazing but arguably even more impressive is some of the 3D stuff.

Definitely Spiritfall. It is a roguelike made entirely of combat arenas and fights. Think Hades, but 2D and with Smash-like combat. And man, said combat goes so unbelievably hard, I can't stress enough how fun and satisfying this game is.

Game 267: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed This will always be regarded by me as one of the best kart racers ever. The presentation, the track design, the soundtrack, the fast-paced gameplay... CrossWorlds have some big shoes to fill in order to match the quality of this absolute banger.

I understand wanting to experience as many games as possible, but try not to rush to finish one game just so you can start the next one. Finishing a game should not be a burden/task. So please, do take your time and enjoy the ride. The next game will probably still be there when you're done.

Game 266: Valkyrie Profile Now here's a very unique experience. It's an RPG with almost metroidvania-like exploration, and a really involving take on turn-based combat. A gorgeous game with a really magical art style and a very deep story that deals with loss, tragedy and learning to let go.

What video game do you consider to be perfect? 🤔 I mean...

I love a lot of the big ones: Force Unleashed, Shredder's Revenge, a bunch of the Spider-Man stuff... But if we're talking straight up movie tie-in, then it has to be Toy Story 2 for the PS1. That game is one of the best platformers of its generation and I'm not even kidding.

First one that comes to mind is always Simpsons Skateboarding, that game is broken and unfun on a fundamental level But licensed games are low-hanging fruit, so outside of those, it has to be Rampage: Total Destruction. That game is ugly, clunky and repetitive as all hell. A waste of a great IP.

Game 265: Genji: Dawn of the Samurai I'll be honest, the visuals do a lot of the heavy lifting in this game for me. Don't get me wrong, the combat is fun, and the exploration is engaging enough, but what really stands out in Genji are the environments and architecture, some of the best on the PS2.

Game 264: Astral Chain Controlling two characters simultaneously in a fast-paced action game might sound a bit chaotic, yet it ends up being Astral Chain's biggest strength. Learning to coordinate both of their attacks is really satisfying, and it just gets more and more fun as the game progresses.

I see your "which one is better, Sonic Racing Crossworlds or Mario Kart World?" and I raise you my "how cool it is that we can get two incredible kart racers in the same year?"

This stupid game. I love it so god damn much. It has that "this is not your grandma's Marvel game" vibe, it tries so hard to be cool and edgy, it's super dumb, yet I can't get enough of it.

Game 263: Patapon 1+2 Replay Friendly reminder that the first two Patapon games, a series of great little adventures that bring an ingenious mix of strategy and rhythm gameplay, have been bundled and re-released for modern consoles, looking and sounding as good as then ever. PATA PATA PATA PON!

Game 262: Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions A level-based action romp starring four different versions of Spider-Man. I love how it manages to capture the fast-paced and fun nature of the character, while also making each version distinct enough to bring a lot of variety to the experience.

Game 261: One Piece Grand Adventure Everything I know about One Piece, I learned from the games based on the franchise. And among my favorites, is this really neat Power Stone-like fighting game. The combat feels super good, and there's plenty of content, including a whole single-player campaign!

I'm "the one thing funnier than 24" away from 1k, and that's really neat.

This is my personal definition of "cozy".

What's a series you haven't played that you think you'd love? Definitely the Ori series. Metroidvania platformers with jaw-dropping art direction, momentum-based obstacle courses, and starring a rad little guy? Why haven't I played them yet?

Game 260: Pokemon Puzzle Challenge Would you believe me if I told you that my favorite Pokemon game of all time is just a version of Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack themed around the franchise? Granted, half of the reason is because of how much I already like Panel de Pon, but still, great game!

Perfect casting, visually faithful to the spirit of the show, top-notch comedy (for the most part), and the biggest 2000s vibe this side of the universe. I love this movie.

The new Skate game is a perfect example as to why I don't want SSX and Burnout to be brought back. Some things are better left in the past as the special memories they are. Especially is said thing is owned by EA.
