Decided to get it and yeah, this game is fun as hell, very fast-paced and surprisingly technical. The Switch version is kinda ugly, but other than that, really good stuff. Miriam is super fun, and the original characters are cool too. Plus, you can play as ToeJam & Earl, and that's pretty groovy.

I just learned about this indie fighting game called Mighty Fight Federation, which features Miriam from Bloodstained as one of the playable characters, and let me tell you, Miriam in a fighting game is something I absolutely need in my life. Has anyone here played it and knows if it's good?

May is going to be the first busy month of the year for me when it comes to new releases. I need to figure out how I'll find the time to play all these great games. (Not to mention Constance, which came out last week and I still haven't picked it up 🫠)

Earlier this week, I told my parents I was moving houses on Sunday. This morning, basically my whole family showed up to help with the move. 🥲 Many people have to deal with families that do nothing but harm. I'm grateful for not having that problem, and try my best to not take it for granted. 💚

I've reached episode 60 of Hunter x Hunter. So far, all they do is fight, farm aura, and set deadlines for things. It's awesome, I'm loving it a whole lot.

Wanting to: go home and play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for the PlayStation 2. Forced to: work on spreadsheets and stuff. Mood: sad.

On top of being a very good (and hard) game, this one is a great time capsule of what The Simpsons looked like in the very beginning. The devs had very little material to base it on (it was released between seasons 1 and 2) and yet they nailed the show's tone and world very early on.

I heard that today marks the anniversary of one of the best games of all time, and indeed, today marks 12 years since the initial release of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, the best Final Fantasy! Hell yeah. (oh, and happy first anniversary to Clair Obscure as well)

The different Gokus in FighterZ are so distinct from each other that I would honestly only cut either the Super Saiyan or the Super Saiyan Blue forms. Of course, having more characters represented instead of six Gokus would be nice, but at least each one brings something different to the game.

I want to retroactively add Haste to my list of favorites of 2025, because holy shit, what a game. It has an absurd, almost breathtaking sense of speed, but without sacrificing your absolute control over the character's movement. Fantastic stuff.

Just finished Neon White. Honestly, one of the best games I've ever played, hands down. Fun, stylish, creative, challenging, exiting, and a whole bunch of other adjectives. Can't wait to replay it eventually. Safe to say, it already became a new favorite of mine 🤍

The Jay and Silent Bob beat 'em up released today, and I'm still on the fence about picking it up. I don't usually pass up a good brawler, but I'm not that familiar with the franchise, and the humor seems a bit too crude (nothing wrong with it, it's just not my style). I'll give it some thought.

The Dragon Ball Sparking Zero DLC if it was actually good.

Metal Slug is one of my all-time favorites, but to me, Black Finger JET, a spiritual successor being made by several of the devs from the original franchise, is the true, legitimate celebration of its anniversary. I love SNK's legacy, but I have no interest in supporting what the company is today.

It seems like they're adding everyone who was missing to the game, and much more. Nice. Having the Goten/Trunks tournament disguise as a playable character is such a fun idea, glad to see them being creative with the roster.

IGN gave Absolum a 7/10 because the reviewer didn't like the roguelite elements... when playing the roguelite beat 'em up. I don't like to generalize because many different people write for the site, but missing the point of a game seems to be a pretty common occurrence for them.

Up there for me is Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. That game was unfortunately released after the height of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band oversaturation, and ended up getting lost amidst underwhelming releases, which is a shame, because it's easily the best, most complete and special game of its kind.

I think we all know about the whole DokiDoki/Mario 2 deal, but one thing I've always found curious is how almost all the elements of that game were incorporated into the Mario franchise's lore... except for the original protagonists. Do you guys think those characters will ever come back?
